Good practice last night. A new song called Antarctica was sounding really good...the whole set seems to be becoming a bit more energetic at the moment.

Trying to work out how to strike a balance between the dynamics of the softer material and the slightly grittier tunes we have.

It can be difficult to know how to order stuff in the set...do people prefer a glut of more mellow stuff or do they want a constant up/down/up/down experience?
I don't know. So we'll experiment and see what feels good to us. And then play it at everyone and see if they agree.

In rubbish news, Gyorgy Ligeti has died.

One of my favourite composers - if you've not heard any Ligeti try the piano etudes. Or if you're feeling brave then the Requiem is immense. Also Lux Aeterna and Atmopheres.
